ONSeries Lisboa Showcase Postponed Due to COVID-19

The ONSeries Lisboa organization has moved to postpone the first edition of the planned showcase due to the expansion of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Originally scheduled to take place on April 28 and 29, ONSeries Lisboa will now be held on September 29 and 30. Along with the event date change, the deadlines for the ONSeries open call for projects for the Pitch Short-Form and Contest ONideas will be extended. Additional details regarding the project selection process and deadlines will be confirmed through the event website, newsletter and social network.

Géraldine Gonard, director of ONSeries Lisboa and Conecta Fiction, said: “We are living in a period of grave international concern and we do not wish to unnecessarily expose both participants and workers to any potential risk. I am certain that, in September, we will have the opportunity to present the Portuguese content and talent to all the international executives that had already requested participation. We will also be able to welcome many more countries that, unfortunately, cannot currently go to Lisboa due to sanitary circumstances and the closure of borders and airspaces. We trust and hope that this situation, engendered by the coronavirus pandemic, will get under control and resolve soon.”
