Atresmedia Promotes Sonia Martínez, Hires Montse García

Sonia Martínez has expanded her remit at Atresmedia Studios as head of editorial, while Montse García joins the company as director of fiction for Atresmedia TV.

Martínez has been director of fiction at Atresmedia since 2006. In that time, she has greenlit successful Spanish productions such as Vis a vis, Velvet, Presunto Culpable, Gran hotel, La Catedral del Mar, El Secreto de Puente Viejo and La casa de papel. In January 2018, with the creation of Atresmedia Studios, Martínez took up the position of head of editorial at the company, a role that she now holds exclusively.

García, who has spent several years as executive director of the Endemol Shine Iberia production company Diagonal TV, takes over the post of director of fiction for Atresmedia TV.

Martínez and García have already worked together, heading up a string of successful series, including Sin Identidad, La Catedral del Mar and Matadero, among others.
