Mediapro Picks Up UEFA Matches in France

Mediapro has acquired a principal rights package to the UEFA Europa League and the new UEFA Europa Conference League in France for its new themed channel.

The channel will offer all of the matches from the two European competitions (except first choice), amounting to a total of over 260 matches per season. The agreement is for the 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons. With the new format of the UEFA Europa League and the upcoming Europa Conference League getting underway in 2021, there will be new time slots for Thursdays and matches will be played at 4:30 p.m., 6:45 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Set to launch in the summer of 2020, the new channel will have a 24/7 programming schedule exclusively dedicated to football and the live broadcast of nine Ligue 1 games and eight Ligue 2 matches, as well as news, debate and analysis programs and in-depth reports.
