ProSiebenSat.1 Forms JV Production Venture with Jerks Team

ProSiebenSat.1 TV Deutschland is partnering up with Christian Ulmen and Carsten Kelber, who previously collaborated on the series jerks., to form the Berlin-based production company Pyjama Pictures.

Ulmen is a producer, director, writer and actor, and he stars in the Joyn and ProSieben series jerks. Kelber is producer on the show. The two creators and ProSiebenSat.1 have established Pyjama Pictures.

The first Pyjama Pictures project will be the fourth season of jerks. in 2020 for the streaming platform Joyn and subsequent free-TV broadcasting on ProSieben. In addition, Pyjama Pictures will produce content for all ProSiebenSat.1 platforms—both linear and digital—as well as for external partners. Its focus will be on German-language and local content. There are already several ideas and developments in the pipeline.

Ulmen said: “We love each other. Carsten Kelber, the company and me. We will give the German series lots of new children—both well-behaved kids and naughty little brats. It’s going to be loud.”

Kelber added: “Christian and I met each other through jerks. and can hardly wait to intensify this collaboration and expand into other genres.
