Netflix has rolled out a Greek service that uses local language and currency in addition to offering original programming for €7.99 ($9.37) per month.

Hollywood movies, popular television series, docs, indie films, stand-up comedy and kids’ shows are now available to watch instantly on Netflix in Greece, with more than 70 percent of the content dubbed or subtitled in Greek. Subscribers in the country also have access to exclusive series and films in Ultra HD 4K and HDR.

Netflix can be accessed by more than 1,600 internet-connected devices and people in Greece. The streaming service is available in the country on various TVs, tablets, smartphones, game consoles and computers.

“We always knew the Greek people had a big appetite for great entertainment,” said Jonathan Friedland, the chief communication officer at Netflix. “Now we know it and we’re delighted to offer a more localized Netflix experience in Greece that will continue to grow with great TV shows and movies from here as well as around the world.”
