Discovery Added to Amazon Channels in Germany, Austria

Following on from their collaboration on the Eurosport Player, Discovery Communications and Amazon have struck a deal that sees Discovery Channel become available on Amazon Channels in Germany and Austria.

Amazon customers with an active Prime membership can now access Discovery Channel through live streams of the linear TV channel as well as catch up and VOD content. Hundreds of hours of Animal Planet VOD content will also be available. These new premium additions to Amazon Channels are available for €3.99 a month.

The launch of Discovery Channel on the service extends the streaming cooperation between Discovery and Amazon, which launched Eurosport Player earlier this year with its extensive sports lineup, including exclusive Friday night Bundesliga matches.
