Endemol Shine Dismisses Turkish CEO, Chief Commercial Officer

Following a review of its local business in Turkey, Endemol Shine Group has dismissed CEO Gokan Tatarer and Chief Commercial Officer Hakan Eren.

“During the course of this a number of serious issues were discovered around the local management of Endemol Shine Turkey,” the company said in a statement.

Endemol Shine Group has appointed independent financial and legal consultants to carry out an analysis of all outstanding debts in the Turkish operating company and “to ensure the process of addressing these is carried out properly and fairly,” the company said. “Meetings with creditors’ representatives are due to begin at the end of this week. We are very conscious of the impact the payment backlog at Endemol Shine Turkey is having on some people and apologize that while we are working to address this as quickly as possible the process is taking some time while an in-depth investigation of the local business is completed.

“We expect to be able to make further announcements very soon regarding next steps.”
