Passion Distribution Rejiggers Sales Team

LONDON: Passion Distribution has restructured its sales team, with Nick Tanner being elevated to head of sales as Elin Thomas prepares to leave the company.

In his new role, Tanner will execute the sales strategy across Passion Distribution’s portfolio. He will also further develop the company’s digital strategy. Tanner will continue to maintain key accounts across pan-regional networks and in Australia and New Zealand.

Tanner has been serving as senior sales manager and has helped with the expansion of the Make You Laugh Out Loud franchise in key Asia-Pacific territories and the collaboration with GroupM Entertainment APAC (GME) to bring the Robot Wars format to Asia. His promotion follows the planned departure of Elin Thomas, who will take on a new position that has not been announced yet.

As part of the team restructure, Passion is also looking to strengthen its existing sales team by hiring an experienced digital sales manager to continue to develop and maximize the potential of new and existing titles within the company’s portfolio. The senior sales manager will also handle program sales to broadcasters in the U.K. and U.S. across all platforms.

Tanner commented: “I am absolutely delighted to be appointed to the position of head of sales. I look forward to advancing Passion Distribution’s strategy for growth, developing the sales team and tapping into new revenue streams. It’s been an absolute pleasure to work with Elin Thomas and I am thrilled to be stepping into the role at this exciting time for the company.”

Thomas added: “It’s been a privilege to work with everyone at Passion Distribution since 2014. Having worked closely with Nick Tanner for my entire time in the company, I have confidence that he is the right person to take over at the helm of the sales team and I wish him every success.”

Emmanuelle Namiech, the CEO of Passion Distribution, commented, “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with Elin. She has made a tremendous contribution to Passion Distribution for which I would like to thank her. I have no doubt she will do well in her next role and wish her great success. I am delighted that Nick will be stepping up to head up the sales team. He brings a wealth of market knowledge, is passionate about content and has an excellent track record of building successful and mutually beneficial broadcaster relationships.”
