LONDON: Endemol Shine UK’s Remarkable Television has bolstered its creative team with the promotion of Dom Waugh and the appointment of Possessed’s Paul Brassey.

Dom Waugh has been elevated to the role of creative director of entertainment at Remarkable. In this new post, Waugh will be responsible for expanding the company’s slate of entertainment programming by creating and producing new formats for the U.K. market that have international potential. He will also continue to work alongside Richard Hague and Remarkable’s other in-house executive producers.

Waugh first joined Endemol Shine UK through the Creative Intern scheme in 2001 and went on to develop shows for the BBC, ITV and Sky. He returned to Remarkable as head of development in 2010 and became an in-house executive producer in 2014. Waugh’s executive producer credits include Pointless and Pointless Celebrities (BBC One), as well as Two Tribes (BBC Two) and The Million Pound Drop (Channel 4). Waugh was part of the team that created game shows such as The Bank Job (Channel 4) and Ejector Seat (ITV). He has also played a key role in the development of apps and play-along games for Remarkable’s shows.

James Fox, joint managing director at Remarkable, said, “Dom is a brilliant creative and program-maker, with an inherent instinct and experience in developing and producing innovative formats.”

In addition, Paul Brassey was appointed head of entertainment development. Brassey joins Remarkable from Possessed, where he was head of development. Prior to his role at Possessed, Brassey held development positions at CPL Productions, BBC Entertainment, North One Television and 12 Yard. He created the BAFTA Award-winning panel show A League of Their Own for Sky 1 and co-created the ITV entertainment format The Colour of Money and BBC quiz shows Beat the Pack and Are You an Egghead. He also developed the forthcoming ITV series Cash Trapped.

Fox added: “We’re also thrilled that Paul is joining Remarkable as we build our creative team and move to the next phase of growth.”
