Endemol Shine UK has added to its portfolio the new label Sharp Jack TV, which will focus on entertainment and factual-entertainment programming.

Sharp Jack TV will be led by former ITV Studios creative heads Elliot Johnson and Amanda Wilson under the Endemol Shine UK umbrella. Johnson and Wilson set up Sharp Jack Media in 2011 and have made and developed a range of shows for the U.K. and Ireland, including Four Heads, Scorchio and Queer as Pop. They are currently in production with two pilots: the dating show Always the Bridesmaid for TLC UK and the social experiment Raised by the Village for RTÉ One.

Lucinda Hicks, the COO of Endemol Shine UK, said: “Amanda and Elliot are a brilliant creative team, highly regarded throughout the industry and bursting with ideas, so we are delighted that they are joining us. Nurturing creativity and talent is integral to our business, and with the support of the wider Endemol Shine group, I’m confident that their ideas will fly both in the U.K. and beyond.”

Lisa Perrin, the CEO of Endemol Shine Creative Networks, commented: “We are in the business of developing ideas which travel the world so I’m thrilled to be working with Elliot and Amanda, creatives who can do exactly that.”

Wilson said: “We are at the stage where we want to grow our business and joining a group like Endemol Shine gives us both the support and the creative freedom to really make a difference.”

Johnson added: “Endemol Shine UK is the perfect home for our label. Not only does it open up access to a huge distribution network allowing us to realize our creative ambitions on a global stage, it also gives us the ability to deliver bigger and bolder ideas.”
