LONDON: In two separate deals, Endemol Shine UK has purchased the production house Electric Robin, which specializes in short-form branded content, and the digital talent-management company OP Talent.

Electric Robin was founded in 2013 by directors Kevin Batchelor and Ross Brandon. The outfit has created promos for such U.K. entertainment hits as Strictly Come Dancing and Britain’s Got Talent.

OP Talent, established in 2012 by Liam Chivers, is home to a wealth of online influencers. The agency works with entertainment entities, brands and marketing agencies to create content opportunities, brand integrations and product sponsorships for its roster of talents.

Both companies will operate independently within the group and will report into Endemol Shine UK’s commercial director, Laurence Jones.

“Electric Robin’s track record for creating bespoke, quality content will be a great addition to our branded and short-form output,” said Jones. “OP Talent’s roster of male skewing gamers will work brilliantly alongside FlipSide and their strong lineup of influencers.”

Electric Robin’s Batchelor added: “Ross and I are delighted to be joining Endemol Shine UK. After rapid growth over the last two years, we are now in the perfect place to further grow our director-led business spanning commercials, branded entertainment and original material across all digital platforms.”

OP Talent’s Chivers said: “We are extremely excited to sign this deal with Endemol Shine UK. It opens a new chapter for us, one where we get to utilize the variety of great digital practitioners and experts that sit under the Endemol Shine UK roof, in order to help grow OP Talent and supplement the opportunities for our stars in this exciting industry.”
