CEE Deals for Zodiak Rights

LONDON: Broadcasters across Central and Eastern Europe have licensed formats and drama series from Zodiak Rights in the run-up to NATPE Budapest.

Wife Swap is in production by fellow Banijay Group company Mastiff Russia for Friday TV for later in the year. The format is already a hit for Prima in Romania, 1+1 in Ukraine, Markiza in Slovakia and Nova in the Czech Republic. TV2 in Hungary licensed a package that includes all seasons of the British version of Wife Swap.

Friday TV is also on board for Ladette to Lady. Prima has gone for Ford Boyard. In Hungary, TV2 is gearing up for Killer Karaoke. Psychic Challenge, which has run for 17 seasons on TNT in Russia and 16 seasons on STB in Ukraine, is headed to TV3 in Estonia.

On the finished program front, ČESKÁ TELEVIZE has licensed the Norwegian political thriller Occupied and season four of Wallander. It also renewed the license for three seasons of Yellowbird.
