LOS ANGELES: Cristina Sala has been appointed to the newly created post of VP of sales for Italy, Italian-speaking Switzerland and Greece at Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution for pay TV, subscription video on demand, basic and free TV.

In her new position, Sala will work closely with Marion Edwards, the president of international television, on strategic sales planning for the territories under her remit. She will be based in the company’s recently opened Milan office.

Prior to joining Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution, Sala worked at Entertainment One (eOne) in London for six years. At eOne, she served as the sales director for digital and linear-TV rights for Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, Greece and Israel. Before that, Sala spent four years at Endemol as a sales director covering major European territories.

“We are very excited to welcome such an experienced executive to Fox to open a new office and look forward to working with her to build all of our television licensing activities to new levels,” said Edwards.

“Twentieth Century Fox has a truly fantastic slate of U.S. content for both feature films and television series,” Sala commented. “I am very excited and honored to open an office in Milan and help grow our linear and nonlinear distribution business.”
