Monterosa Names First Head of International Broadcast

LONDON: Multiscreen activation specialist Monterosa has named former TF1 and Endemol exec David Jullien as its first head of international broadcast.

In the newly created role, Jullien will be tasked with strengthening and creating new partner relationships with broadcasters, producers and brands to develop real-time digital TV experiences across global TV formats. The operation will gather vital data so that broadcasters, producers or brands can more accurately serve the needs of their audiences in a more personalized way.

The exec previously worked at Endemol as business development director, where he managed digital gaming and second-screen strategy across the company’s portfolio of global brands. He also worked a decade driving the digital-gaming strategy for French commercial channel TF1 as head of digital gaming and social networks.

Tom McDonnell, the CEO of Monterosa, said: “There are only a handful of people in the world that have traveled with interactive TV formats globally and David’s one of them. His knowledge of digital broadcasting, production, interactivity and monetization is as good as it gets, and he is a person who uses his experience to help broadcasters simply get the most out of mobile audiences.”

Jullien added: “Monterosa has the best interactive platform in global broadcasting, LViS, used intensively by TF1, Talpa, BBC Worldwide and many others to innovate TV programming for younger audiences. In a content-powered and increasingly data-driven TV industry, LViS is a key answer to the broadcasters and brands’ strategic objectives to convert viewers into users and deliver data through high-quality real-time experiences. With such great traction already, I’ll be bringing my international production experience to the team, helping broadcasters, producers and their brand clients generate value from multiscreen audiences.”
