Kudos Taps Carnival’s Phil Temple as Exec Producer

LONDON: Kudos has hired Phil Temple, who joins the company from Carnival Films, as executive producer.

At Downton Abbey producer Carnival, Temple had served as development producer since 2014, after having been the head of development for two years. He takes up the new post at Kudos, which is part of the Endemol Shine Group, on November 23.

Kudos' joint CEOs, Diederick Santer and Daniel Isaacs, commented: “Phil combines a passion for high quality drama with great experience of working with a range of extraordinary writers. His appointment further strengthens the creative team here at Kudos and we look forward to him getting started.”

Temple added: “Kudos have made some of my very favorite shows and the team there is incredible so it will be a huge honor to be part of their gang. Their past work and current slate speaks for itself and they consistently work with the best new and established writers around—I hope I can live up to their reputation and help to make some more great telly. I can't wait to start!
