FilmBox Live Now on Apple TV in Turkey & CEE

WARSAW: SPI International’s FilmBox Live app has premiered on Apple TV in Turkey and the CEE region.

The app will feature all of the linear channels from SPI International’s FilmBox portfolio, including two sports channels (FightBox HD and Fast’nFunBox HD), a documentary channel (DocuBox HD), a movie channel devoted to classic and independent cinema (FilmBox Arthouse), a fashion channel (FashionBox HD), an independent music channel (360TuneBox HD), an interactive gaming channel (MadscreenBox) and several ethnic channels (FilmBox Russia, FilmBox Africa, Kino Polska Int’l, Kino Polska Muzyka).

“Last year SPI unveiled a comprehensive product solution called FilmBox Universe, which is a 360, all-inclusive, ad-free, premium TV, multiscreen entertainment service that allows subscribers to enjoy top-quality and diverse programming everywhere they want, on any screen they choose—at one subscription,” said Berk Uziyel, the executive director of Filmbox International. “You can buy the subscription of FilmBox Live through your current TV operator, which offers FilmBox Package or directly from Apple.”

Uziyel continued: “SPI is embracing new technologies and the new app world. This is why, in addition to maintaining our linear-channel distribution business, we started distributing content via app stores of the operator boxes and new consumer electronic boxes, which are available in the market. So far SPI’s application is available via Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and ROKU. This move is in line with the FilmBox Universe strategy, which was outlined by the SPI Group management about a year ago.”
