New Hire for Catalyst Global Media’s Executive Team

LONDON: Chris Moll, a former Creative England exec, has joined Catalyst Global Media in a hybrid, senior-level position that includes both executive producer and producer responsibilities.

Moll will work under Charlotte Walls, the company's co-founder and CEO. His duties include sourcing high-quality, commercially viable projects for Catalyst's development and production slate. He is also charged with expanding the company's national and international partnerships with key talent, producers, agents, publishers and financiers, and finding new opportunities for partnerships across film, TV, digital and music.

A BAFTA winner, Moll has more than 20 years of experience working in the entertainment industry as a senior film executive, independent producer and strategic lead on a number of feature films, series and short projects. He previously served as head of film at Creative England for three years, during which time he designed and oversaw the company's development, production and film enterprise activity. He also founded iFeatures, a low-budget features initiative backed by Creative England, BBC Films and the BFI.

"We are very excited to welcome Chris to the Catalyst family," said Walls. "Chris brings tremendous strength as an award-winning film producer and seasoned entertainment executive with passion and vision for current projects and the future of Catalyst. We look forward to his input and contributions as the company commits itself to being a major supplier of new, smart, provocative, quality entertainment."

Moll added: "It's an exciting time at Catalyst and I am thrilled to be working with Charlotte, Al, Gideon and the Catalyst team in building a slate focused on both creative and commercial success. I've been lucky in my career to work with many exceptional talents—established and upcoming—and it was the company's commitment to providing the best possible home for such talent that convinced me to come on board. Look out for some brilliant new work over the next couple of years."
