Heather Jones Moves Up at A+E Networks UK

LONDON: A+E Networks UK has elevated Heather Jones to general manager for the U.K., effective February 1.

In her new role, Jones will continue to work under Tom Davidson, the company's managing director. She will have oversight of all aspects of the business across the company's U.K. operations and portfolio of channels, including HISTORY, Lifetime, Crime + Investigation and H2.

Jones was first hired by A+E Networks UK in July 2013 as VP of programming. Earlier in her career, she served in senior management positions at North One Television and Viacom in the U.K. Before that, she was the managing director for the U.K. at Paramount Comedy.

Davidson remarked: "With her in-depth knowledge of the TV landscape, combined with a vision and passion for great entertainment, Heather is the perfect candidate to drive the U.K. business to deliver its full potential. I am delighted that she has accepted this well-deserved promotion."

Jones added: "I am excited to be taking up this new opportunity at A+E Networks. I love each of the channels in our U.K. portfolio and I can't wait to get stuck into the new challenges that this broader remit will bring."
