Producer Kanakna Becomes Zodiak Belgium

BRUSSELS: Zodiak Media has unveiled that Kanakna, its Belgium production company, has been renamed to Zodiak Belgium.

Established in 1993, Kanakna grew to become one of the largest television producers in Belgium. The company became part of Zodiak Media in 2007.

In other news, VTM in Belgium commissioned a third season of Zodiak's The Beat, a scripted reality show based in a police station. The 45×30-minute new season is slated for broadcast this year as the second season comes to an end.

Meanwhile, SBS Belgium's Vijf placed an order for Forbidden Love, another scripted reality program, told from the perspective of a woman who is cheating on her partner.

The global distribution rights for these formats are held by Zodiak Rights.
