FilmBox Branded Channels Head to Ukraine

NEW YORK/KIEV: SPI International's FilmBox branded channels are slated to launch on the satellite television service Xtra TV, a leading Ukrainian DTH platform.

The agreement includes FilmBox, 360TuneBox, FilmBox ArtHouse, Fast&FunBox, DocuBox, FashionBox and FightBox. Viewers who want to receive a signal for these channels must have a satellite receiver that supports DVB-S2 MPEG-4 SD/HD standard.

James Phillipoff, CEO of Istil Telecom Ukraine, remarked: "This new package will complement Xtra TV offer for Ukraine, not only with HD channels (Fast&FunBox, DocuBox, FashionBox and FightBox), but also with new features: independent music videos, fashion shows, movies by independent filmmakers as well as a healthy dose of 24/7 sports content, including motorsports, extreme sport disciplines and live broadcast of fight events from Europe and the United States."
