Undead-Themed Game Show I Survived a Zombie Apocalypse for BBC Three

LONDON: The U.K.’s BBC Three has commissioned I Survived a Zombie Apocalypse, an urban-survival game show pitting contestants against the undead.

The 7×60-minute series sees eight participants trapped in a shopping mall, surrounded by the walking dead. They must use their wits and survival tactics to complete tasks that will put them in contact with the zombies, all the while trying to avoid getting bitten. Zai Bennett, controller of BBC Three, and Ruby Kuraishe, entertainment commissioner, ordered the show from Tiger Aspect Production.

I Survived A Zombie Apocalypse is a reality event on a huge scale for BBC Three. It promises to be a deadly twist on the genre,” Bennett said.

“This is a tongue-in-cheek game show that will really test one’s mettle. I think people will die to be a part of it,” Kuraishe added.

“It’s nice to finally have a game show where if you get a challenge wrong, you get your arms ripped off and your brains eaten out,” said Andrew Brereton, who is exec producing for Tiger Aspect with Sebastian Grant.
