Broadchurch Wins Three BAFTA TV Awards

LONDON: At last night's BAFTA Television Awards, ITV's Broadchurch scored three wins, for best drama, best actress for Olivia Colman and best supporting actor for David Bradley.

Sean Harris of Southcliffe won for leading actor. The supporting actress winner was Sarah Lancashire for Last Tango in Halifax.

The comedy duo Ant & Dec took the award for best entertainment performance for Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway. The show also took the win for best entertainment program. The BAFTA TV Award for best female performance in a comedy went to Katherine Parkinson for The IT Crowd. The winner for male performance in the category was Richard Ayoade, also for The IT Crowd.

Complicit won for best single drama, while In the Flesh was named best miniseries. Coronation Street was the night's winner for soap and continuing drama. The international award went to Breaking Bad.

In the factual arena, Bedlam won for best factual series, and David Attenborough's Natural History Museum Alive won for specialist factual. The Murder Trial was presented the award for best single documentary. Long Lost Family won for features, and Gogglebox came out on top for reality and constructed factual.

The award for best comedy and entertainment program was given to A League of Their Own. Him & Her: The Wedding took the award for best situation comedy.

The Radio Times Audience Award, which is voted for by members of the public, saw Doctor Who: Day of the Doctor taking the honor.
