New Channel 4 Commissions Across Formats, Education & Music

LONDON: Among the new commissions for Channel 4 is Taking New York, a constructed reality series being produced by Twofour for E4.

The 8×1-hour Taking New York format will feature a group of twentysomething British friends who are striving to make their American dreams come true. The format will begin filming later this year.

Techs in the City (working title) is a documentary for Channel 4 that will follow the efforts of bright young British entrepreneurs who are working in Silicon Valley. The show will be produced by The Connected Set and markets one of the first tranche commissions from Channel 4's Education team since a recent restructure.

Music Nation (working title) is a five-part documentary film that charts the rise of the U.K.'s music scenes of the last 20 years. Channel 4 and Dazed teamed up to co-produce the project.
