LONDON: Passion Distribution has wrapped up a slew of deals in Spain for more than 150 hours of content.

Mediaset nabbed two shows from Passion’s Scripps Networks International catalogue: the 13×60-minute eighth and ninth seasons of Cupcake Wars and the 13×30-minute first and second seasons of Million Dollar Contractor. The broadcaster has run all previous seasons of Cupcake Wars.

Atresmedia picked up the 6×60-minute Joe Rogan Questions Everything, originally produced for the U.S. channel Syfy by A. Smith & Co. Productions. It also licensed the 13×60-minute eighth season of Scripps’ Ghost Adventures after airing past seasons, as well as Scripps’ 13×30-minute series Garage Gold.

Canal+ licensed the first and second seasons of Sundance TV’s 6×30-minute series The Writer’s Room.

Finally, Chello Multicanal acquired a host of Scripps’ programming for its various channels. The company licensed the 13×30-minute West End Salvage and the 20×60-minute Home Made Simple for its Decasa network. The 8×30-minute show Magic Man went to the Odisea channel, and the 13×60-minute first season of Cutthroat Kitchen went to Canal Cocina.

“Spain continues to be a strong region for Passion,” said Lorenzo Bertolotti, the company’s sales manager for the region. “The territory has a strong appetite for long-running lifestyle content and we are pleased that we are able to constantly offer Spain new series and renewed seasons of our hit shows.”
