Former Head of Interactive at FremantleMedia UK Joins Applicaster

TEL AVIV: Applicaster has tapped Peter Cassidy, formerly the head of interactive at FremantleMedia UK, as its VP of Europe.

Cassidy will be the principal officer to lead Applicaster's activities in Europe. He formerly was responsible for all digital extensions around FremantleMedia's shows in the U.K., including second-screen apps, social media, YouTube channels and digital content production. Previously at FremantleMedia, Cassidy managed their international participation TV business. Prior to joining FremantleMedia, he was head of telephone interactivity at RTL Netherlands.

He begins his new role at Applicaster, which provides cross-screen TV experiences, at the beginning of April.
