ISTANBUL: FOX International Channels (FIC) has put in place a new organizational structure for its executive team in Turkey, which is now integrated in the South Europe and Africa region.

The reorganization is meant to enhance the position of Turkey in Europe, and to exploit the talent of the local team to help lead business growth for the entire division.

Adam Theiler, who has served as general manager of several European FIC markets, becomes the executive VP of Southern Europe and Africa, covering Turkey, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Israel and Africa.

Cenk Soner becomes general manager of FIC Turkey, reporting to Theiler. Soner is charged with the development, growth and implementation of regional strategy, compliance and corporate relations, the profit and loss for Turkey and Turkish-speaking Cyprus, as well as strategic approach to the market.

Yadigar Belbuken has been promoted to VP of DGM channels for FIC Turkey, reporting to Soner and Theiler. She will maintain her role as head of content in Turkey for the FOX, Nat Geo and 24Kitchen brands, across all genres, and with a focus on acquisition, production and syndication. Her role will expand outside of Turkey to assist the executive VP in regional content development, syndication, and acquisitions in South Europe and Africa.

Mehmet Icagasioglu, who has been head of ad sales in Turkey, takes on the new role of VP for ad sales for Africa and DGM FIC Turkey, reporting to Soner and Theiler and in collaboration with Deborah Armstrong, the executive VP of ad sales for Europe and Africa. He will maintain his role as head of ad sales in Turkey, but will also take responsibility for ad sales and sponsorships in Africa for all FIC channel brands.

Theiler commented: “In a relatively short period time, FIC Turkey has become a rich source of original ideas and innovation, demonstrating a collective expertise in multi-media brand management that rivals our best FOX teams around the world. Indeed, the leadership of Cenk, Yadigar and Mehmet has decisively contributed to many of the best practices that have contributed to the growth of FIC Europe today. Now integrated in the new regional structure of FIC Southern Europe and Africa, the Turkish office will enjoy further prominence in deciding our strategic path for the region. Cenk, Yadigar and Mehmet are among the most professional and commercially successful executives both of their peers in Turkey, as well as of those in Europe. Each is at the top of their field and has contributed individually to Turkey’s growth and consolidation as one of the predominant markets for FIC in Europe and Africa. Together with the teams of experts that they have trained and developed, I look forward to work with this team of exceptional leaders as we grow our businesses in South Europe and Africa.”
