MUNICH: Red Arrow Entertainment is set to acquire 100 percent of the shares in Sultan Sushi, the group's production company based in Belgium and the Netherlands.

In March 2010, Red Arrow took a 51 percent stake in the company in Belgium. In June 2010, Red Arrow expanded the Sultan Sushi operations to the Netherlands.

As part of the revised share structure, Sultan Sushi has named Steven Allcock and Jan Keersmaekers as co-managing directors. Allcock will join the company as of April 1. He was most recently the manager of business affairs and head of broadcasting at Studio 100 in Belgium. Keersmaekers joined Sultan Sushi in 2003 and has since been COO. Johan Tuyaerts, the former CEO and founder, will leave the company at the end of the month.

Jan Frouman, the group managing director of the Red Arrow Entertainment Group, said: "Thanks to the smooth and successful cooperation over the last few years we are able to increase our share to 100 percent. I am very much looking forward to working with Sultan Sushi even closer. At the same time I want to thank Johan for his valuable work. Johan has been with Red Arrow since our earliest days—and he has always been a model partner and colleague. We wish him nothing but the best for the future. We also want to welcome Steven to the Group and congratulate him and Jan on their new roles. We believe Sultan Sushi couldn't be in better hands."

Allcock added: "I am very excited to join such a well-respected production company as Sultan Sushi. In this rapidly changing media world, I hope to further position Sultan Sushi as a key production company in Belgium and the Netherlands, building on the strengths of the company set by Johan and Jan. With the support of the team at Red Arrow Entertainment, I am convinced that Jan and I will be able to successfully face all the future challenges." In his role at Studio 100, a production company specializing in the creation, production and distribution of children´s and family programs, Allcock was responsible for public affairs, business development, and corporate strategy. Previously, Allcock was employed in various positions at Telenet NV and SBS Belgium NV in Belgium.

Keersmaekers commented: "Johan founded the company in 2003 and successfully used his vast network of industry contacts and experience with factual, travel- documentary and lifestyle TV, to make Sultan Sushi a recognized brand. Over the years, he became known as a language and spelling fanatic—but also for a level of enthusiasm that could revive dead cows and make them jump fences."
