DRG Taps New Hires from BBC Worldwide, Shine Group

LONDON: DRG has added two new executives to its team: Richard Halliwell, formerly with BBC Worldwide, and Wayne Davison, who previously worked at Shine.

Halliwell was previously the commercial director for entertainment formats at BBC Worldwide. He now becomes chief operations officer at DRG, responsible for day-to-day operations.

Davison comes from a role as commercial director at the Shine Group. He is now responsible for the commercial growth of program brands and formats from DRG producers. His remit also includes seeking and increasing new business areas and partnerships and working with producers to maximize income and help build funding models for productions. He will also manage DRG's legal and business affairs and rights team.

Jeremy Fox, CEO at DRG, commented, “Both Richard and Wayne have extensive industry experience and their backgrounds in format and program sales, and brand management for some of the biggest shows in global TV make them great assets to the company.

“As we enter the New Year, we thought it necessary to extend the team as we look to grow the company and focus on our future as part of the MTG family.”
