FremantleMedia Exec Heads to NBCU International TV Production

LONDON: FremantleMedia's Dominic Burns has been named senior VP of brand management and commercial for NBCUniversal (NBCU) International Television Production, effective in March.

Burns will be expected to develop brand extension and commercial partnerships to increase value across NBCU International Television Production's expanding global TV brands. He will also contribute to the exploitation of properties in the U.K. and international markets across a variety of platforms, as well as establish brand partnership and product placement opportunities for advertisers, among other duties. He will report to Sarah Cooper, the company's COO of international television production.

Prior to this appointment, Burns was the commercial director for FremantleMedia UK. Earlier, he worked as the company's senior VP of licensing and entertainment for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and as the VP of sponsorship and advertiser relationships for FremantleMedia Licensing.

Cooper stated: "Dominic's extensive experience in building licensing, digital and advertising strategies for some of television's top franchises will help us maximize value for each program in a completely integrated, 360-degree manner alongside their successful linear, new media and home entertainment exploitation."
