HBO Europe Hires New Production Execs

BUDAPEST: Three new appointments have been made to support HBO Europe’s original programming and production.

Wayne Henry has been hired as the VP of production, based in Budapest. He was previously a production consultant for the company and served as an executive producer on the local versions of In Treatment for Hungary and Poland. In his new role, Henry will be reporting to Antony Root, the executive VP of original programming and production.

Jozsef Berger has been named original production executive for HBO Hungary. He too will be based in Budapest, with responsibility for overseeing the development and production of original projects in Hungary. Berger was previously a producer with his own company.

Anna Nagler has become the new development executive at HBO Poland. Based in Warsaw, Nagler shifts from a role in script development at the independent production house Akson Studio.

Root commented: "At HBO Europe we are continuing to build our original production team at both a regional and local level. These three appointments add further creative and production strength to our group as we seek to grow our distinctive, high-quality fiction and documentary output in the region."
