MUNICH: Michael Oesterlin, the executive VP of international sales at Tele München Group (TMG), has left the company, with his successor, Carlos Hertel, now reporting directly to the management.

Oesterlin had been responsible for the distribution of worldwide rights outside of German-speaking territories. Hertel now takes over, after having served as the head of international sales at TM International for several years. Oesterlin began overseeing the development of TM International in March 2008.

Herbert L. Kloiber, the chairman and shareholder in TMG, said: “Carlos Hertel is a proven expert in international sales and will be closing the gap with his outstanding knowledge of the market. We are looking forward to pressing ahead with him in the top management of TM International at the upcoming European Film Market in Berlin.”

Hertel added: “Apart from looking forward to new challenges, my goal is to steadily and successfully develop TM International’s position in the market. With Ruby Red, we have a truly outstanding presence at the European Film Market and are happy to be able to offer this high-quality film adaptation of this bestselling novel on an international level.”
