maxdome Lands NBCU VOD Deal

MUNICH: The German VOD platform maxdome has scored a multi-year licensing agreement with NBCUniversal International Television Distribution that covers a selection of new releases and movie classics.

The ProSiebenSat.1 Media-owned VOD platform has the VOD rights in Germany for feature films such as American Gangster, The Fast and the Furious, Notting Hill and Inglourious Basterds. Current movies covered under the pact include Battleship, Ted and Snow White and the Huntsman.

Markus Hartenstein, the managing director maxdome, said: “Closing this deal means that we are now cooperating with all major studios. Therefore, we are able to offer our customers access to a large variety of high-class content.”
