Shahid Launches Remake of The Killing

The Nordic noir classic The Killing has been adapted for MBC Group’s Shahid streaming platform by Charisma Pictures.

Premiering today on the SVOD service Shahid VIP, Monataf Khater is set in Cairo, with a script penned by Mohamed El Masry. Charisma Pictures, the scripted production division of Charisma Group, acquired the rights to remake the Danish hit Forbrydelsen from DR Sales.

We’re delighted to have teamed up with DR Drama and Charisma Pictures to create a new Arabic adaptation of the police procedural drama, with a fantastic cast and crew, led by director Al Sadeer Masoud.
