The Kanal D Drama channel has been added to Altice’s offering in the Dominican Republic.

THEMA América, a Canal+ group company, struck a deal that brings the channel to subscribers of Altice Dominicana’s basic plan. The channel, which presents Turkish series in Spanish, will arrive for the first time on the Caribbean island.

“We are delighted to have Altice Dominicana as an ally in the Dominican Republic and to add Kanal D Drama to its varied television offering as we begin our expansion in the Caribbean,” said Patrick Rivet, CEO of Thema América. “Altice Dominicana is a strategic business partner with an excellent business structure and great operational efficiency in the country, which gives us a solid base to ensure the success of this channel, which airs the best Turkish series, with the Dominican audience.”

Soraida Soto, director of B2C marketing for Altice Dominicana, said, “At Altice Dominicana we are committed to bringing new entertainment options to Dominican homes by taking initiatives that add content of interest for our customers. The inclusion of Kanal D Drama in the programming of Altice TV, which is the first Dominican provider that includes this content, is an integral part of the many initiatives that we have carried out in recent months to offer varied content of high quality and value to our customers, who well deserve it. The telenovelas have been very well received by the Dominican public, so we are betting that this initiative to transmit Turkish dramas 100 percent in Spanish will be appreciated and valued by our entire subscriber base.”
