Kanal D Drama and Lifetime have teamed up to simultaneously bring the Turkish drama series Big Fat Lies (Koca Koca Yalanlar) to TVs across Latin America.

The premiere took place April 25 on prime-time slots on Kanal D Drama and Lifetime. This marks a strategic partnership between the two, with the hopes of expanding the reach of Turkish stories.

“This alliance between Kanal D Drama and Lifetime represents a major step forward in bringing our stories to a broader and more diverse audience,” said Francheska León de la Barra, VP of marketing for THEMA America and spokesperson for Kanal D Drama. “Big Fat Lies is a deep, universal drama and this collaboration allows us to connect with viewers who value emotionally powerful content, complex characters and immersive plots.”

Big Fat Lies is a Turkish drama with themes of love, betrayal and second chances. The story unravels as Müjgan’s (Evrim Alasya) husband Ahmet (Hakan Yılmaz) falls in love with a much younger woman, Sude (Tuğçe Karabacak). Müjgan’s journey involves confronting the truths and challenges surrounding love and loyalty.

César Sabroso, senior vice president of marketing, affiliates, PR and corporate communications for Lifetime Latin America, added, “With this new partnership, Lifetime once again affirms its strong commitment to delivering quality entertainment to our audience. Together with Kanal D Drama, we’re now adding excellently produced series to our programming—stories that, although created in a distant country like Turkey, resonate deeply with our audience because they are rooted in universal emotions such as love, betrayal and friendship.”
