Fifth Season Secures Global Broadcasters for Saint-Pierre

A wave of sales has been announced for the first season of Saint-Pierre for Hawco Productions by Fifth Season.

The first season of the CBC police procedural will be available on UKTV, France Televisions, ABC (Australia), Disney (Belgium and Eastern Europe), Quebecor Content (French Canada), FreeTV (Israel), Sky (New Zealand) and BBC Studios (BBC NL in the Netherlands and BBC First in Poland).

Saint-Pierre stars Josephine Jobert, James Purefoy and Allan Hawco, who also created and executive produces the series. Saint-Pierre is executive produced by Janine Squires, Erin Sullivan, Robina Lord-Stafford and John Vatche. Robina Lord-Stafford and Perry Chafe also assisted in the creation of the series. Lord-Stafford is the showrunner alongside Hawco.

Saint-Pierre follows inspector Donny ‘Fitz’ Fitzpatrick, exiled to the remote French territory in the North Atlantic, after probing a local politician’s corruption. He must work together with Deputy Chief Geneviève ‘Arch’ Archambault to solve crimes in a place where the serene exterior hides significant criminal activity.

Saint-Pierre is a cleverly crafted detective drama that feels both singular and familiar,” said Ava Knight, director of acquisitions at Fifth Season. “Its enigmatic and picturesque location provides a fresh backdrop for a European-style cop show with a distinctly Canadian twist. The series is anchored by a fish-out-of-water detective duo whose warmth and humor bring to life the sharply written cases and intricate storylines that make each week’s mystery irresistible. The show has been a huge success for CBC in its home territory, and we can’t wait to introduce the magnetic duo of Fitz and Arch to audiences around the world.”
