Diagonal TV’s Los pacientes del doctor García Begins Filming

Filming is underway on the TV adaptation of Almudena Grandes’ Los pacientes del doctor García, produced by Banijay Iberia’s Diagonal TV, RTVE and DeAPlaneta in association with Netflix.

The story connects real and unknown events from World War II and Franco’s regime, portraying the lives impacted by the affairs of Spain and Argentina. It centers on the doctor Guillermo García, who lives in Madrid under a false identity following Franco’s victory in the Spanish Civil War.

Los pacientes del doctor García stars Javier Rey, Tamar Novas and Verónica Echegui in the lead roles. José Luis Martín (Isabel) serves as writer, with Joan Noguera (Isabel, Sin identidad, Mercado central) directing.

Filming began this week in Segovia and will continue until June on location in Segovia, Madrid and Guadalajara.
