Netflix Renews Ransom Canyon

The modern western Ransom Canyon has received a second season order at Netflix.

“Our dreamy little corner of Texas Hill Country is full of stories still untold, and we can’t wait to bring them to our incredible fans,” said April Blair, showrunner, creator and executive producer. “Get ready for another ride.”

Billed by Netflix as “comfort entertainment,” the series is part of a growing slate of “blue sky” shows at the streamer. Production will return to the Netflix Studios in Albuquerque.

The series stars Josh Duhamel as stoic rancher Staten Kirkland, alongside Minka Kelly, James Brolin, Eoin Macken, Lizzy Greene, Andrew Liner, Garrett Wareing, Jack Schumacher and Marianly Tejada.
