Ira Levy Launches Spike & Sadie Media Production Venture

Veteran Executive Producer Ira Levy (Less than Kind, L.M. Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables, Kenny vs Spenny) has set up the Toronto-based Spike & Sadie Media film and television production company.

The newly formed venture focuses on collaborating, developing and producing both scripted and unscripted projects with Canadian and international creatives who bring a distinct and clear voice to their storytelling.

Levy is a veteran of the Canadian screen-based industry, having founded Breakthrough Entertainment alongside Peter Williamson in 1985 and producing a slew of award-winning television series and films over the past four decades.

“Launching Spike & Sadie Media after 40 years of working in the Canadian film and TV industry is a tremendously exciting moment for me in my professional career. What I love most about the work is collaborating with creatives and generating opportunities for their unique stories to be told,” said Levy. “I have had the good fortune of working with some of our industry’s best and I look forward to bringing my energy and relationships into this new creative hub and showcasing the next generation of storytellers.”
