Incendo Bought by TVA for $15 Million

TVA Group has moved in to acquire the Montreal-based producer and distributor Incendo for around C$19.5 million ($14.8 million).

Founded in 2001, Incendo produces movies, TV series and documentaries that have been sold throughout the world. It also handles theatrical distribution in Quebec for Paramount Pictures.

The transaction is expected to close in the coming weeks.

“TVA Group is happy to add Incendo, a local company with an international profile known for its excellent content, to its operations,” said France Lauzière, president and CEO of TVA Group and chief content officer of Quebecor Content. “The transaction is in keeping with our push to increase our revenues from other markets, step up our international development and expand our footprint, especially in English-language markets.”
