Incendo Begins Filming Thriller Early Release

MONTREAL: Principal photography has commenced on Incendo’s latest thriller Early Release, directed by John L’Écuyer (Curtis’s Charm, Saint-Jude, The Riverbank, In God’s Country).

The film will be shot on location in Montreal. It stars Kelli Williams (The Practice, Lie to Me, A Boyfriend for Christmas), Justin Mader (Room, Death Race, The Unauthorized Full House Story), Sarain Boylan (Bon Cop Bad Cop, Saw IV, Bleacher Bums) and Niamh Wilson (Degrassi: The Next Generation, The Young and Prodigious T.S. Spivet, Saw III, IV, V).

The film tells the story of Taylor Bennett, a suburban mother who was sentenced to three years in jail for a DUI and drug-possession charges. As Taylor tries to get her life back on track after her release, her former cellmate comes back into her life, intent on disrupting Taylor’s plans. The career criminal tries to expose the truth behind Taylor’s early release from jail.

“John is very talented and has been nominated [for] and won several Genies, Geminis, DGC Awards, Columbus Film Awards, Reims TV Fest Awards, TVO Awards, as well as the TIFF Jury Prize for his film Curtis’s Charm in the category best Canadian feature film,” said Jean Bureau, the president and CEO of Incendo. “We feel privileged to have him on our team.”
