FremantleMedia’s BUZZR Heads to Canada

BURBANK: BUZZR, a vintage game-show network owned by FremantleMedia North America, is slated to become available on YES TV in Canada.

BUZZR will offer a three-hour weekly programming block that will air Monday through Friday from 1 a.m. to 4 a.m. starting on September 12. There will be a total of 15 hours of content each week, branded as BUZZR After Hours. This deal, which was brokered by FremantleMedia International (FMI), marks the first time a U.S. digital multicast network is entering the Canadian market.

Titles to air during BUZZR After Hours include To Tell the Truth from 1958 to 1965; What’s My Line from 1955 to 1956; I’ve Got a Secret from 1961 to 1963; Card Sharks with host Jim Perry from 1978 and 1980; Sale of the Century with host Jim Perry from 1985; Beat the Clock with host Monty Hall from 1979; and Double Dare with host Alex Trebek from 1976 to 1977.
