Bell Media, Temple Street Alum Trish Williams Joins CBC

Trish Williams has been appointed to the role of executive director of scripted content at CBC.

Williams will oversee the public broadcaster’s drama, comedy and film teams across all broadcast and streaming original long-form programming. She will report to CBC’s general manager of programming, Sally Catto.

Williams comes to CBC from Temple Street Productions, where she served as VP of scripted programming. There, she oversaw the creative execution, sourcing and development of IP and new original series and co-executive produced the drama series Killjoys.

Prior to joining Temple Street, she was director of drama at Bell Media, responsible for leading a team of eight executives handling original drama series and movies across all channels including CTV, Space, Bravo, TMN/HBO Canada and MUCH. She also co-executive produced season four of Saving Hope and was a production executive on the hit series Flashpoint.

Williams will join CBC this week.
