Boat Rocker has inked a first-look deal with Jay Baruchel, co-writer and star of the Goon movie franchise and host of LOL: Last One Laughing Canada.

In this second special Québec Creates report before MIPTV, World Screen is highlighting a selection of compelling award-winning drama series, a feature documentary, animated kids’ series, family sci-fi fantasy live-action series, a new original format, a unique variety show mixing artist improvisation and humor, as well as a collection of slow TV meditative and relaxing productions from around the globe.

In association with the Société de développement des entreprises culturelles (SODEC), World Screen is spotlighting the dynamic Québec content industry and its presence at MIPTV this year.

World Screen’s inaugural Québec TV Festival spotlights the region’s thriving content-production capabilities across various genres, from cutting-edge kids’ animation and innovative teen dramas to popular romantic comedies, gripping thrillers, insightful documentaries and light entertainment.

Leading Incendo’s slate of new romantic comedies is A Love Yarn, starring Anna Hutchison and co-produced with Screentime New Zealand.

At MIPTV, in addition to the Canada Pavilion, Canadian producers will be participating at In Development, a MIPTV-Canneseries initiative.
