Viki Bolsters Asian Content Lineup

SINGAPORE: Global content site Viki has expanded its lineup of content from China and Taiwan, including a slate of original online series from Sohu.com.

Shows like Unconditional Love, Never Give Up Dodo and Another Taste of Love, among others, from Chinese video portal Sohu will be made available on Viki, alongside series from broadcasters Huace TV and LeTV. Viki has also signed on with Taiwan's TVBS to exclusively broadcast the Taipei 101 New Year's Eve Countdown live to the rest of the world, and has renewed its association with Sanli Entertainment Television for its Taiwanese dramas.

“Chinese and Taiwanese shows are fast becoming one of the most popular content genres on Viki,” said Razmig Hovaghimian, CEO and co-founder of Viki. “While over 30 percent of the viewing audience for these shows comes from North America, we know this content has global appeal with top shows being translated into over 40 languages.”
