SINGAPORE: Within the last two months, FremantleMedia International has sold more than 1,200 hours of content across the Asia Pacific, including inking the first-ever deal for an Australian drama in the Philippines.

Solar Entertainment in the Philippines has licensed three seasons of Winners and Losers, as well as the competitive reality series The Fashion Fund, medical drama Monday Mornings and season three of the American comedy Web Therapy. Also in the Philippines, Lifestyle Network nabbed Young Hollywood’s Greatest…, Young Hollywood’s Presents Evolution Of… and the drama Full Circle.

The Fashion Fund has also sold to two broadcasters in Thailand: free-to-air channel Workpoint TV and pay-TV operator TrueVisions. TrueVisions also took the Hulu original Behind the Mask, the documentary I Am Steve McQueen and the factual special Asteroids: Doomsday or Payday?

MediaCorp's on-demand platform Toggle in Singapore has acquired some 580 hours across the entertainment lifestyle, drama and kids' genres.

Haryaty Rahman, VP of international distribution and home entertainment for Asia, said, “The Asian marketplace is booming at the moment, it’s full of opportunities but also highly competitive so I’m thrilled to see this appetite for our portfolio. FremantleMedia has had a presence in this region for around 20 years now so we have a great sense of what our buyers need to sustain and expand their audiences."
