TV5MONDE to Launch Pair of HD Channels in Thailand

HONG KONG: The French-language channels TV5MONDE Asie HD and TV5MONDE Style HD are set to launch July 1 on the cable operator Charoen Cable TV in Bangkok.

Charoen Cable TV will be the first operator in Thailand to provide TV5MONDE Asie channel in HD as well as the first to supply the new lifestyle channel TV5MONDE Style HD. The standard-definition TV5MONDE Asie channel has been available in Thailand since 1996.

With this new distribution agreement, TV5MONDE Asie is now available in more than 1.3 million homes throughout the country.
