Singapore to Showcase 530 Hours in Cannes

SINGAPORE: This MIPCOM, the Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA) is leading a delegation of 23 Singaporean media companies to promote a lineup of more than 530 hours of Asian TV content.

This year marks Singapore's 14th time presenting at MIPCOM. The MDA will be located at the 130-square-meter Singapore Pavilion in the Palais des Festivals. Attending companies will include August Media, Infinite Studios, MediaCorp, One Animation, Sparky Animation and TVS Asia/Sunrise Entertainment. These companies are offering a variety of factual, drama, infotainment, lifestyle and kids' content for international sales and distribution. The market will also play host to a Singapore Media Festival networking and media party, which is slated to take place on Tuesday, October 14.

Among the many titles on offer from Singapore is Grace, a four-part horror miniseries from HBO Asia and Infocus Asia. There are also Refinery Media's format Supermodelme, One Animation's animated show Oddbods, and the first three seasons of the kids' series Dinosaur Train, which is co-produced by The Jim Henson Company and Sparky Animation. Additional titles include the dramas Kasih Ibu (DV Studio) and R & D (Shortman Films); the factual programs Aceh Bangkit (Mediamorphosis), Toque 12 (Dragonslayer Asia and Sunrise Entertainment), the first five seasons of Jalan (Oak 3 Films); and the Singaporean animations Abbie Rose & the Magic Suitcase, Counting with Paula (Omens Studios) and The House of Wonders (Niubizi Studio).
