Shine Taps Former Southern Star CEO

SYDNEY: Rory Callaghan, formerly the CEO of Southern Star, is joining Shine Australia in the newly created role of executive director.

Callaghan will report to Mark Fennessy, the president of Shine Network and CEO of Shine Australia, and Matt Campbell, managing director. His remit will include oversight for the catalogue of Shine Group formats in Australia and New Zealand and those of partners Zodiak and Talpa. He will also focus on emerging content streams, including scripted programming.

Fennessy said: “Rory is one of the finest television executives in the business. He brings a wealth of expertise and proven success as an independent producer and provides additional strength to a talented executive team. We’re delighted to welcome him into the Shine family.”
