Rewind Networks is expanding the reach of its HITS channel in Vietnam through carriage deals with pay-TV operators VTVcab and Viettel.

The channel, which offers syndicated reruns of previously aired shows, will now be available in 1 million more homes, bringing its total overall reach to 12.7 million residences in Asia. The deal was secured in partnership with Thaole Entertainment.

HITS first launched in Vietnam with K+ in October 2018, followed by a soft launch in December on VTVcab’s digital package and Viettel’s Next TV HD cable package. Rewind, Thaole and VTVcab are working together to launch the channel on the operator’s analogue platform in the coming months.

Viewers can expect HD versions of the third season of Little House on the Prairie, season five of Baywatch, Three’s Company’s sixth season, and several other series, including The Nanny, Full House and That ’70s Show.

Avi Himatsinghani, CEO of Rewind Networks, said: “Vietnamese viewers will continue to gravitate towards solidly curated branded destinations with a clear proposition and easy discoverability—this is evident in the success of HITS in the market. Our accelerated growth in Vietnam is a testament to the unique value proposition that HITS brings to the pay-TV ecosystem: the ultimate destination for the best of TV, all in one place.”
